The Processes and polymers program provides the skills needed by petrochemical and polymer companies to assess the environmental impact of their products and processes in the context of:
- sustainable sourcing of the resources (fossil or bio-sourced) used to produce polymers;
- utilities management and energy efficiency;
- consideration of the entire product life, using the Life Cycle Analysis and more generally eco-design studies;
- revamping project;
- plastic recycling to reincorporate materials into the existing economic value chain;
- identify the locations of the manufacturing plant where pellet losses must be controlled to avoid losses in the environment, and propose adequate equipment.
